Scott Higgins teaches courses in film history, theory, and genre at Wesleyan University. He is recipient of Wesleyan’s Binswanger Prize for Excellence in Teaching. He published two books: Harnessing the Rainbow: Technicolor Aesthetics in the 1930s <http://www.utexas.edu/utpress/books/highar.html> and Arnheim for Film and Media Studies
He is working on a third book about film serials from the 1930s and 1940s. His areas of specialization include aesthetics, silent and classical cinema, narrative theory, genre, and technology.
